Karen Kay (Glaser) Kemph, 61, passed away peacefully at the RiverStone Hospice House in Billings on Dec. 31, 2013.

She was born in Billings, to Norman and Fern Glaser on July 18, 1952.

Karen and her three siblings grew up near Huntley and Pompeys Pillar, where the family farmed and ranched.

After she graduated from Huntley Project High School in Worden in 1970, Karen and her fiancé, Joe Kemph Jr., eloped!!

Two sons, Joe III and Travis, completed their family. They farmed and ranched in the Big Horn River Valley between Custer, and Hardin. In 1985, they moved to farm and ranch in the Yellowstone River Valley near Custer. That is still their family home.

Karen is survived by her husband Joe Q. Kemph Jr.; their oldest son, Joe Q. Kemph III and his wife Kathy, who have seven children, Joe IV, Jace, Justin, Cooper, Mat Gibby, Gabby Cain, Mason Cain in Big Timber; their second son, Travis Lee Kemph and his wife Dawn and their children, Dillon and Traci in Pompeys Pillar. Karen is also survived by her brother David Glaser, in Camas, Wash.; Linda Glaser in Spokane, Wash.; and Susan Kuntz in Pompeys Pillar. The Kemph family attends the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Custer.

Karen enjoyed her many family members and lots of good friends. She will be missed by so many whose lives she touched.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3200 Broadwater Ave., Billings.

Interment will be held 4 p.m. at the Custer Cemetery in Custer, MT.

In lieu of flowers donations will be given to the Custer cemetery & the Junction City Park.

Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
