Died in Tientsin during the Japanese occupation. Burial details are not documented but there is a lot of communication regarding getting his estate settled during the war. (All communication with the US had to go through the Swiss Consul in Bern, Switzerland.) The Swiss government assigned his sister-in-law Mary Augusta Mullikin as his executrix in Tientsin.
