Bill was born February 2, 1938, in American Fork, Utah, to Raymond John and Anna Vera Olsen Jacklin. He married Joyce Meredith and together had a daughter, Sherrill. They were later divorced. He married Janet Brand, May 21, 1975, in Provo and was blessed with another daughter, Christine. Bill grew up in American Fork and attended schools there. He worked at Geneva Steel for many years and later for Alpine School District as a custodian. He proudly served in the Utah Army National Guard for four years. Bill was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed camping and hunting with family and friends. Bill Elwood Jacklin, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013, at his home, twelve days after his sweetheart, Janet, passed away. He was 75.
Bill is survived by his two daughters: Sherrill Jacklin of Orem and Christine Kearley of Lindon; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Graveside services held in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Viewing held at Olpin Family Mortuary.
