She was born August 3, 1944 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Robert I. and Norma B. Mortimer Jones. She was united in marriage to Peter L. Egley on August 18, 1962 in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives.
Other survivors include her mother, Norma Jones, three sons, Peter L. Egley, Jr., Robert M. Egley and his wife Sue, and Todd A. Egley and his wife Laura, one sister, Cherie Wilsey and her husband Jim, two brothers, Terry Jones and his wife Judy, and Robert E. Jones and his wife Connie, four grandchildren, Ryan, Josh, Raquel and Nikki Egley of all Keokuk, Iowa, sisters in law, Mary Egley and Janet Hagge and her husband Delbert, brother in law, Robert H. Egley and his wife Barbara, several nieces, nephews and a special niece, Heather Dawn Wilsey.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, Robert I. Jones, nephew, Timmy Jones, two brothers in law, Kenneth Egley and John Egley.
Janet graduated from Clark County R-1 High School with the class of 1962. She was employed at Decker Manufacturing in Keokuk, Iowa for the past fourteen years.
She enjoyed being outside tending to her flowers and feeding her adopted deer that loved to be in her yard. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
