Dorothy Jane Aliff Davis passed away on Thursday December 26, 2013 at Beacon Place.
A memorial service will be held at Northern Guilford Baptist Church on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Brad Gaines officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Mrs. Davis was born in Logan, WV on January 24, 1936 to the late Marvin Aliff and Daisy Whitman Aliff. She graduated from Huntington East High School and went on to attend Marshall College (Marshall University). She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, needlework, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Paul K. Davis, Sr.; daughter, Amy Davis; and brother, Richard Aliff (FAG #119029551).
Mrs. Davis leaves behind her children, Lauren Davis, Paul K. Davis, Jr. and wife Melodie Beck, and Timothy Davis, all of Greensboro, and Marvin Davis of Fort Mill, SC; three grandchildren, Jessica, Katherine and Aaron; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Landon.
The family would like to thank all of you who kept Dorothy in your thoughts and prayers during her illness.
