Loil M. Osborn, 89, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Loil M. Osborn of Amarillo, formally of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in Amarillo. Loil was born Feb. 9, 1924, in Havana, Ark. His life work was in education, having taught school at the secondary level as well as being a principal in Devol, Okla.
Loil retired as an instructor with Sheppard Air Force Base air training command in Wichita Falls. While in retirement in Nocona, he worked at Texas Turbo Jet. Mr. Osborn proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II and in the Army during the Korean War. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his four children, Kenny and wife Debbie, Steve and wife Sherry, Dea Thomas and husband Lewis and Jan Taylor; a stepdaughter, Brenda Gregg and husband Bobby; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
