Frank "Eddie" Barker, Jr., age 64, of Hiram, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014. The son of the late, Frank Edward Barker, Sr. & the late, Dorothy Louise Barker, he was born January 20, 1949, in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Barker was a U. S. Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War. He had worked as a diesel mechanic for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Barker loved his grandchildren and writing poetry, and had been an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Barker; son & daughter-in-law, Jason & Bridgette Barker of Dallas, GA; sisters & brother-in-law, Gail & Jerry Rogers of Rockmart, GA and Avis Hannah of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Savannah Barker and Gracie Barker; nieces and nephews, Donnie Hannah, Ricky Hannah, Scott Hannah, Lisa Hannah and Lori House.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Wayne Landmon and Reverend Tim Landmon officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 3, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
