Linwood Davis Constable, age 65, of Hagerstown, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at his home.
Born Jan. 22, 1940, in Gore, Va., he was the son of the late Jennings Bryan and Nina Dale Davis Constable.
He graduated from South Hagerstown High School.
He was a journeyman, retiring in 1997 from Sheetmetal Worker's Union Local 100.
He was a member of Church of the Holy Trinity, Hagerstown.
He served with Community Rescue Service in the 1960s, was a member of Goodwill Athletics Club, Western Maryland Sportsman's Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Myra Marie Harshman Constable; three daughters, Nina M. Miller of Quincy, Pa., Kendra S. Smith of Clear Spring and Barbara A. Constable-Gordon of Hagerstown; two sons, Wesley L. Constable of Hagerstown and Atlee J. Constable of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Garlandine Rider of El Paso, Texas; 16 grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marguerite Hull and Jean Oates, and one brother, Jake B. Constable Jr.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert L. Dell will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
