Mrs. Suzanne L. Sloan, 64, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday January 1, 2014 at Schneck Medical Center.

Born April 4, 1949 in Watseka, IL, she was the daughter of Howard Raymond and Juneth (McMahel) Key.

On June 1, 1969 in Marengo, IN she married Danny Michael Sloan who survives.

Mrs. Sloan was cafeteria manager at Redding Elementary School for 15 years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Crawford County Genealogy, Marengo Christian Church, Seymour Christian Church, and Daughter's of the American Revolution. She enjoyed traveling, genealogy, Crawford County history, shopping, and playing cards. Her greatest pleasure was attending her grandchildren events.

Suzanne is survived by her daughters: Angie (Curtis) Klakamp and Erin (Eric) Darlage; grandchildren: Sophie Klakamp and Aiden Darlage; brothers: John William (Lori) Key and Michael Raymond (Teresa) Key.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at Marengo Christian Church 470 S. Cedar St Marengo, IN 47140 on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bill Weaver officiating.

Burial will be at a later date at Marengo Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday at Marengo Christian Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Condolences may be sent to the family through Voss Funeral Service and memorials may be written to Old Town Church Fund or Marengo Christian Church Soup Kitchen Ministry through Voss Funeral Service, Seymour, IN.

There are no words that I can muster up right now to thank the many friends and relatives that have prayed and supported us through Suzanne's sickness. She has truly been so brave through this and was strong to the end. She loved her home town and the friends that live there. I am indebted to you all for the kind words and prayers, thank you so much.
