John and Jessie have more children not interred in this cemetery they are Ada Marie Ross McIntire 2,Apr.1909-10, Feb.1999 Venice Calif. Ernest William Ross, 14,Nov.1911-24,Oct.1994, Santee, Calif. Letha Mae Eva Ross Hatfield 31,Jul.1913-23,Oct.1986, Sacramento, Calif. Frances Ross McIntire 7,Jan. 1917-8,Jan.1985, Grants Pass Oregon. and Claude Anderson Ross 1 Dec,1928-27,Jul.1981, Whittier Calif.

Jessie had one sister Mrs Gates (Bessie)Harrold who is buried just S of her family. At the time of Jessie's death there were 25 grandchildren and many g-grandchildren. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church which she had joined while living in Empire, Galena. Her burial services were held in that same church on N. Main St.

The one story I remember well, hearing it told many times by her adult children when reminiscing around the kitchen table was her famous warning before the kids would run to the creek to swim "If you drown while you are swimming, I will kill you when you get home."
