Mrs. Emma E. Baker, 95 years old, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday at the home of a daughter in Lutesville. She was the last member of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walker; and leaves 83 direct descendants. She was born September 19, 1866 near Perryville.
Mrs. Baker was a member of Union Ridge Methodist Church of Marble Hill.
Her husband, Peter E. Baker, died 34 years ago.
She is survived by three sons, Sam A. Baker of Marble Hill, MO; John W. Baker of Marble Hill, MO; and W.E. Baker of Jackson, MO; three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Myers of Lutesville, MO; Mrs. Elmer B. Schrock; and Mrs. Nellie Cook of Marble Hill, MO; 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Four sons and two daughters, four sisters, and four brothers also preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Friday at the Methodist Church in Marble Hill, conducted by Rev. Verdall Jackson and Rev. B.J. Wilsey. Interment was in Bollinger County Memorial Cemetery near Lutesville. Ward Funeral Home was in charge.
Pallbearers were grandsons, J.W. Baker, Darrell Baker, Alvester Baker, Melburn Baker, Joe Graves, and D.B. Graves.
