Connie Sue (Smith) Wheeler, 50, of Bevier, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, MO. Connie was born on August 2, 1957, in Macon, MO the daughter of Kenneth Mac and Betty (Patton) Smith. On April 20, 1992, she was united in marriage to Terry Wheeler. He survives. Connie graduated from Bevier High School. She was active in the Macon County 4-H. Connie enjoyed babysitting, deer hunting, fishing, working in her garden, but especially spending time with her family. Besides her husband, Terry, she is survived by one daughter, Heather Wheeler of the home; one step-daughter, April Richter of Bevier; two grandchildren, Jay Richter and Whitney Richter, both of Moberly; her mother, Betty Smith of Bevier; one brother, Kenneth Lee Smith of Moberly; one sister, Mary Lou Lester and husband Denver of Callao, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and infant son, Michael Eugene Skinner; and one sister, Bessie Marie Smith. Funeral services will be Monday, April 21, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Bevier with Rev. Scott Dalrymple officiating. Burial will be in East Oakwood Cemetery in Bevier. Visitation will be Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends on Monday from 10:00 ? 11:00 am at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Macon County 4-H Shooting Sports.
