KINSTON - Laura Janet Koonce, 83, of 107 E. Peyton Ave., Apt. 3-E, died July 18, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Swinson Funeral Service with Elder Malcolm S. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Survivors include sons Douglas Koonce and James Koonce Jr., both of Kinston; sisters Ruth Exum of Kinston and Pattie Mae Murriell of Cove City; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
