Debbie Lee Morris - WAYNESBORO, VA - Debbie Lee Morris, 44, of Waynesboro, Virginia died suddenly on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born July 19, 1967 in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of Eveleen Kemp Lanier and the late William Bobby Lanier. She is survived by her mother; her husband of 22 years, Andy Morris of Waynesboro; daughters, Andrea Lee and Haley Nicole Morris, at home; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Keith Rogers of Claxton, Georgia; nephew, Tyler Rogers; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Debbie graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro having earned a degree in biology. She attended and was very active with the Church on the Hill in Fishersville. Debbie had a great sense of humor, a passion for writing childrens books, and she enjoyed home-schooling her daughters. She loved the outdoors, music, and travel. Most important in her life was her Lord and her family. A loving wife and mother, Debbie was kind-hearted to all.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Church on the Hill by Pastor Brandon Williams in Waynesboro, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Metter First Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Eason officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Church cemetery. Pall bearers will be Brent Morris, Jimmy Morris, Tim Waller, Tyler Rogers, Wesley Sapp, and Brook Carter. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home
