KAYSVILLE--James Loyd Major, 33, died July 16, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A son of Richard Barnes and Carol Ann Larsen Major, Jimmy was born August 12, 1961, in the Canal Zone, Republic of Panama. With his military family he spent his early years in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Turkey, California, Virginia and Alabama.

He graduated from Davis High, and attended WSU, USU, DATC, and has served in the Army. He married Corene Beecher Sutton. They were later divorced.

A member of the Francis Peak LDS Ward, Jimmy served as the ward's assistant executive secretary and family history extractor. A bright, friendly, outgoing person, Jimmy loved people, the family cabin in Idaho, fishing, physical fitness and gourmet cooking.

He is survived by his parents; grandmothers, Muriel Larsen Wadley and Josephine Barnes Major; step-grandfather, Merlyn Wadley; three brothers, R. Keith Major (Elise); Douglas L. Major (Janet); David Warren Major (Kristina); two uncles, Loyd W. Larsen and Max B. Major; seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Orville L. Larsen and Lewis R. Major.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 1995, at 11 a.m., in the Rock Chapel, 25 South 200 East, Kaysville. Friends may call at Lindquist Mortuary, 400 North Main, Kaysville, Friday, July 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
