Actor. His most noted role as a television actor was on the 1990s situation comedy "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", where he played ‘Philip Banks', the uncle to actor Will Smith's character for the program's six year run. His long television career spanned from 1983 until his death in 2013, and included appearances in episodes of shows such as "That 70s Show", "Star Trek: Enterprise", "Dharma and Greg" and "L.A. Law". He also had roles in 47 motion pictures.
