Beloved Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter Niece, Cousin & Friend. On November 2, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with mental illness. Born May 13, 1980 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Survived by her parents, Paul and Jan Anderson; sister, Yovanna "Isabella" Anderson; grandmothers, Helen H. Anderson and Martha Stadther; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends who loved her dearly. Preceded in death by her biological mother, Piedad Herandez Bernardino; and grandfathers Calvin A. Anderson and Laurence Stadther. A 1998 graduate of Convent of the Visitation School and a 2004 graduate of Hamline University with a double major in criminal justice and psychology. Marina will be remembered for her sparkling personality, a smile that could warm up a room and your heart, her tender way with children and her love of music and theater. Marina lived her life in a way that exemplified her strong sense of what is just and her concern for those in our society who are less fortunate. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
