Mrs. Wendell Barks, 52 years old of Glen Allen, died Thursday at Southeast MO Hospital in Cape Girardeau, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Barks, the former Clodine Viola Reutzel, was born April 30, 1915 near Marble Hill.
She was married November 13, 1935 to Wendell Barks.
Mrs. Barks was a member of the Baptist Church at Glen Allen.
She was a member and past Noble Grand of Lutesville Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors are her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.W. Reutzel of Marble Hill; three daughters, Mrs. Kelly Francis of Grassy; Mrs. Dewayne Francis of Marquand; and Miss Mary Barks of Jackson; a son, James Barks of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Grindstaff of Marble Hill; and Mrs. Hadley Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill; two brothers, Cletus Reutzel of Cape Girardeau; and Orville Reutzel of Burfordville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Baptist Church in Glen Allen; by the pastor, the Rev. Lloyd Engleman and a former pastor the Rev. Dale Huff.
Interment was in Bollinger County Cemetery. Arrangements by the Ward Funeral Home in Lutesville, MO.
