Peggy (McConnell) Bales Bullock, age 85, passed away on June 13, 2023 in Melbourne, FL. She was born October 3, 1937 in Albany, IN the only daughter of Ross and Catherine (Strong) McConnell, both deceased.

Peggy graduated from Albany High School in 1955 and on March 31, 1956 she married George Bales. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1994. They raised two children. Bruce Bales who died February 15, 2003 in Melbourne, FL and Belinda Bales of Melbourne, FL who survives.

Before moving to FL in 1979, along with her husband and children, they co-owned Bales and Bowen Service Station. Peggy owned Peggy's Yarn Paradise and taught many to knit and crochet. While living in FL, she worked in retail and had many good friends. After George's death, she moved back to Albany to help care for her mother, until her death in 2007. Peggy married James Bullock on November 28, 1998, who preceded her in death on October 8, 2020.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Belinda Bales of Melbourne, FL, twin granddaughters, Kaley Phillips (husband Dalton) of Palm Bay, FL, Shelby Bales (fiancé Zach Molina) of Dallas, GA; two great-grandsons; and three step-great-grandchildren of FL; daughter-in-law, Lori Bales of Melbourne, FL; two special step-daughters, Pamela Mooneyhan (Wiley) of Portland, IN, and Regina Ward of Dunkirk, IN; four step-grandchildren, Zach Bedwell (Laura) of Bluffton, Sara Hough (Matt) of Pennville, Kami Fulkerson (Marc) and Nate Hicks (companion Katy) both of Dunkirk; ten step-great-grandchildren all of IN; a brother, Paul McConnell (companion Donna) of Largo, FL; a sister-in-law, Mary McConnell (Jerry deceased February 3, 2021) of Albany, IN; two nieces, Brenda Roach and Debra McConnell( three nephews, Jon, Ed and Brad McConnell.

Services will be held at Garden View Funeral home on July 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with visiting one hour prior to the service. The burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
