Roger E. Reeves, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Faith Regional Health Services, Norfolk, Nebraska, after a year long battle with cancer. Roger was born on May 4, 1942 in Norfolk Nebraska, the son of Delbert and Ruth (Rathbun) Reeves.
Roger graduated from Norfolk High School in 1960, and later attended the University of Nebraska, Norfolk Junior College, and Wayne State College. Roger Married Barb Raasch on May 28, 1962.
Roger lived most of life in Norfolk, NE. He began working for Clark Brothers Transfer in 1962, where he was an accountant, and later served as office manager and Secretary/ Treasurer and he retired in 2004.
Roger was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he was treasurer. He was a long time member of the Norfolk Lion's club, where he held several offices including President and was Grand Marshall of the LaVitsef Parade. He was a member of the Norfolk Country Club.
Roger's hobbies included golfing, bowling, and spending time on the farm.
Roger is survived by: wife, Barbara Reeves of Norfolk, Nebraska; son, Barry (Laura) Reeves of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; granddaughter Alexandria Reeves of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; mother, Ruth Reeves of Norfolk, Nebraska; brother, Ron (Kathy) Reeves of Fremont, Nebraska and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: father, Delbert Reeves and brother, Denny Reeves.
Funeral services for Roger E. Reeves, was at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska with burial in the parish cemetery. The Reverend Mark Reichert will officiate.
