Noah F. Ankeny, 76, of Sipesville, Pa. died June 26 in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1898 in Lincoln Township, son of the late Andrew J. and Lydia Shaulis Ankeny. He was preceded in death by his first wife Odessa Hoffman. He is survived by his second wife Harriet (Dickey) Bowman. He was preceded in death by son Robert G. and infant son Clyde. He is survived by son Harold W., Somerset, RD 1. Survived by these step-children: Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Moore, Mrs. Ray Pauline Lenhart, Painsville, Ohio, Mrs. Ralph (Ruby) Kelly, Ashtabula, Ohio, the Rev. Richard Bowman, Rock Island, Ill., Ronald Bowman of Stowe, Ohio and Dean A. Bowman of Somerset, four grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren: and 11 step-great-grandchildren. Survived by these sisters: Mrs. Bertha Enos from Quecreek; Mrs. Mary Lucas, Rockwood, RD 2; Mrs. Herman Bassetti, Boswell; preceded by two sisters and one brother. Member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. Member of the F and AM Lodge No. 358, Harrisburg Consistory and Jaffa Shrine. He was a charter member and past president of Sipesville Lions Club. He was a retired miner. Friends will be received after 7 pm Friday at Richard E Hauger Funeral Home. Services Sunday at 2 pm at Casebeer Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Clark assisted by Rev. Richard Shellenberger. He will be interred at the Casebeer Lutheran Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1 pm to time of service.
