J. Edwin Aller, 67, died Saturday, December 5, of blood poisoning as the result of a hunting accident November 16. Mr. Aller was accidentally shot in the legs by a cousin. H. B. Ritz of Canton, while hunting on his farm southeast of Carrollton. He became seriously ill ten days before his death, and died at the farm home where he had spent his entire life. Mr. Aller was a member of the Reformed Church.
Surviving are his widow, Belle, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Harsh of Carrollton. Mr. Aller was born in Union Township, December 10, 1869, the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Lotz) Aller. On October 7, 1891 he was married to Belle Smith, who has been an invalid for a number of years. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at his home, conducted by his pastor, Rev. H. N. Smith. The body was placed in Grandview Cemetery mausoleum.

J. Edwin Aller, son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Lotz) Aller, was born in Union Township in which he was born. He was confirmed at early age in Trinity Reformed Church and had been a faithful member until death. He was united in marriage to Belle Smith on October 7, 1891, whose love, companionship and counsel he shared for 45 years.
Mr. Aller was a son of the soil and took much pride in the products of his farm. He met with an accident while hunting on November 16, which was the immediate cause of his death, an infection having developed about 10 days later. He passed through deep suffering and entered into rest December 5, 1936, aged 66 years, 11 months and 25 days. Mr. Aller is survived by his faithful wife; one sister, Mrs. Anna Harsh and a host of relatives and friends.
