Vivian (Cobb) Yoes, 82, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Friday, June 18, 2004. She was an accountant and a reitred executive director of the Western Arkansas Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), where she led the program from just a handful of volunteers in the mid-1970s to 917. She served on the board of directors of the National Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She was honored with a lifetime membership in the national PTA.

She served as the president of the Sparks Regional Medical Center auxiliary and was a life member of the Sparks Board of Advisory Trustees. She was past matron and officer in Liberty Chapter No. 402 Order of the Eastern Star. In 1985 the Governor's Award honored Vivian as an Ambassador of Good Will. She received the coveted Honor of Grand Cross of Color in the Order of the Rainbow Girls in 1987, she was awarded the Noon Exchange Club's annual Golden Deeds Award. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis.

Committal service was held at 10:15 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, and memorial service was held at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

She is survived by a dauaghter and husband, a son and his wife, a sister, and five grandchildren.
