Married to William "Shirley" Hunt (1916–1996), she was a member of the Gladeville Church of Christ and owner of Hunt's Grocery Store in Gladeville for 60+ years.
Jessie was 90 years old when she passed away on December 27, 2013 in the Quality Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Ed Martin, Frank Martin, Dud Martin and Perry Martin and sister Dr Myrtle Jane Ward. Survivors included a married son, married daughter, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a special male friend, her beloved pet Kitty Cat and many other family members and friends.
Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Lebanon.
