Raymond Kenneth Duke, 88, of the Lakeview Community passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at his residence. He had lived most of his life in the North Georgia area and he was a United States Marine Veteran having served during World War II. He retired from TVA in the 1980's as an Engineer with over 25 years of service. His passions in life were his family, fishing, boating, enjoying the outdoors, working with his tools/building things, and telling tall tales.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Bolden; and brother, Kenneth Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Jo Duke; children, Cathleen (Phil) Ryan of Rossville, Raymond Duke, Jr. (Patsy) of Cleveland, TN, Paulette (Mike) Prather of Rossville, Randy Duke of Ringgold, Rusty (Kara) Duke of Cartersville, GA, and Laura (Richard) Gough of Rossville; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

Inurnment will be held Friday at 1:30p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
