Born June 2, 1934 in Earl Township, Lancaster County, he was the son of Menno H. and Elizabeth Hoover Martin. He was a former farmer and later he had a door-to-door snack route. Adam was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference, Bethel, PA.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Norma and J. David Martin, Cato, NY; Carl and Linda Martin of Denver; Betty and Galen Nolt of Bethel; Adam, Jr. and Lois Martin of Bethel; Larry and Karen Martin of Lebanon; Tina and Lloyd Oberholtzer of Richland; Lamar and Carolyn Martin of Denver; Dawn and Keith Musser of Newmanstown; foster daughter, Deborah and Lester Martin of Newmanstown; 53 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; brothers, Noah H. Martin of New Holland; Allen H. Martin of Stevens; Aaron H. and Dorothy Martin of Denver; sisters, Elizabeth Zimmerman of NY; Anna and Reuben Ringler of Denver; sisters-in- law, Emma Martin, Anna Martin, Lydia Martin and Lena Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Lewis, six brothers, two sisters and a great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM in the Martins Mennonite Church, Church Road, Womelsdorf, PA. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon, PA. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS.
