In Loving Memory of Lewis Garrett Ball Aug 11, 1927 - Nov 6, 2007 Milton, WV

Lewis Garrett Ball, 80, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted NOON, Friday, November 9, 2007 at Milton Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Military rites to be conducted by the American Legion, Post 139, Milton. Lewis was born August 11, 1927 in Milton, WV a son of the late Broaddus and Bertha Jackson Ball. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a wonderful father and husband who enjoyed life, church, teaching and coaching. He was a retired teacher and coach from Milton High School. He coached football, girls basketball, and boys basketball. He served as a deacon of Milton Baptist Church and taught the Hensley class for over 25 years. He is survived by his wife Alyce Walden Ball; two daughters, Leah Ball of Huntington and Lucinda and Philip Addis of Culloden; one brother, Robert and Mary Ellen Ball of Milton; one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" and Daniel Wallace of Davison, MI; one brother-in-law, Paul Harbour of Clinton, SC; two grandsons, Jason and Ryan Addis; two great granddaughters, Kelsea and Hadley Addis. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. The family requests donations be made to Milton Baptist Church or the Arthritis Foundation, 6900 W.
