Cook, Paula J., 53, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Kent Hospital after an illness. She was the beloved daughter of Robert A. and Margaret (D'Ambra) Cook. Paula attended the Spring Green School, Bayside School and was a graduate of Lakewood School. She was a member of the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, Special Olympics and the Trudeau Tigers. Paula was a recipient of over 30 gold medals in bowling. A communicant of St. Benedict Church she was a member of their SPREAD Program. She was employed at the Trudeau Center, Liz Claiborne and Tiffany Jewelry. Paula is also survived by her brothers, Robert A. Cook, Jr. and his wife, Shirley; James R. D'Ambra; her sister, Flori M. L'Heureux; nephew, Robert A. Cook, III, several aunts, uncles, cousins and her special friend, Tony Carello.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave. at 10 am. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, P.O. Box 7789, Warwick, RI 02886 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000-Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 will be appreciated.
