Willa Dean Lambert Jackson, 81, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice of Lenoir.
Born on September 27, 1932 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late Donald Lambert and Roxie Watson Lambert. Mrs. Jackson was employed in textiles and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her loving husband; Paul J. Jackson and a son, Robert Houston Jackson. Those left to cherish the memory of Willa Dean Jackson include her two sons; Paul Gregory Jackson of the home and William Michael Jackson of Lenoir, NC, two daughters; Donna Norris (Johnny) of Collettsville, NC and Carol Shoun (CG) of Lenoir, NC, a brother; Harold Lambert of Lenoir, four sisters; Mary Kemp of Hudson, NC, Shirley Briscoe of Lenoir, NC, Carolyn Holder of Lenoir, NC, and Doris Wallace of Granite-Falls, NC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Jackson was held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Brian David Smith and Darrell Wright officiating. Interment followed the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers were Chris Hicks, Jerry Hamby, Robert Lee Norris, Tony Teague, Ronny Teague, and Joe Holder. The family of Mrs. Jackson requests that memorials in her honor be sent to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir NC, 28645. Pendry's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
