S/SGT. ROBERT F. MILTNER
Funeral services for S/Sgt. Robert F. Miltner, former East End resident will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Rodeniser Funeral Home, 150 S. Negley Ave. Sgt. Miltner a waist gunner on a bomber, was shot down March 17, 1944, in a raid over Germany. He survived the crash, made his way to Zurich, Switzerland, where he died. Sgt. Miltner, who was in the advertising business in Philadelphia before entering the service in 1943, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Brown Miltner; two children, Carolyn and Richard, all of Philadelphia; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Miltner, of 52 N. Negley Ave.

According to PA Veteran Compensation Applications, WWII. Robert married Mary H. Brown in Philadelphia on January 5, 1935. After his death Mary remarried to James E. Loper on November 6, 1948. Robert and Mary's children William Richard (b. Nov. 4, 1935) and Mary Carolyn (b. July 29, 1937) are noted on this document as being adopted by James E. Loper.
