Joe Dale Carter, 75, of Lexington, MO formerly of Independence, MO died July 3, 2011 at his home. Joe Dale Carter was born December 24, 1935 in Spiro, OK, to Homer Wesley and Mary Ethyl Archie Carter. He married Barbara Ann Holdshoe on February 5, 1999 in Lexington, MO. Mr. Carter was retired from Armco Steel Mfg., where he had been a millright. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara , his parents, a brother, Dewey, and five sisters: Janet Clark, Ollie Marie Dunn, Betty Krantz, Shirley Ann Carter, and Jeanie Hawkins. Surviving are two children: Barbara Maytan, Baltimore, MD and Randy Carter, Clearview City, KS. There are several nieces and nephews. Memorial Service to be held Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10 am at Mt. Washington 614 S. Brookside Avenue, Independence, MO 64053. (At Mausoleum #1)
