Mark A. Hogan succumbed to Klebsiella, December 24, in Los Angeles, Calif. Mark was born in Kansas City, Mo. on April 27, 1950 and moved to Los Angeles in January 1987. He retired as a financial manager in December 2009 after more than 25 years with Kaiser Permanente Medical Services, both in Kansas City and Los Angeles.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and two nephews. He is survived by his brother Phillip K. (Mary) Hogan, Sr., Arnold, Mo.; a niece Beth (Jason) Kennedy, Ballwin, Mo.; nephews Phillip Jr., USN, and Matthew (Karen) Hogan, St. Peters; great-nephew Lachlan Kennedy; great-niece Kylie Hogan; longtime partner-in-life Glenn Sheddrick, Los Angeles, Calif.

Mark had two great passions: Hollywood United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school, and his Yorkshire terriers Jake and Ali. Memorials can be made in Mark's name at www.HollywoodUMC.org or www.YorkieRescue.com.

Funeral Service will start at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 3 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann, Mo. Burial will be with his sister, Nila, at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, St. Ann, Mo. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 2 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home.
