Stephen Anthony Dragush was born in Croatia and came to America in September of 1904, arriving at the port of New York. He had lived in Basehor, Kansas, for 69 years and was a retired farmer. Mr. Dragush was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor and a member of the St. Joseph Lodge, a Croatian Fraternal Union.
Steve Dragush passed away at Bethany Medical Center at the age of 65 years. He left six sons, George Robert and Edward Henry, both of Basehor, Joseph Leonard and William Richard Dragush, both of Kansas City, Kan., Louie Frank of Santa Clara, Cal., and Michael John of Drexel, Mo.; three daughters, Rose Anne Vessel, Anna Marie Barber and Margaret Pavicich, all of Kansas City, Kan.; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Klements, of Kansas City, Kan.; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
