Ed, son of the late Henry Brockman and wife Ada, nee Tourville, was born June 29, 1942, in Newburg. He was united in marriage to Jeri Lansing Aug. 31, 1963, in St. Louis. For over 40 years, Ed was a well-known mechanic in the Franklin County area. It was his life's work and passion. He was a member of the American Legion, St. Clair. On many evenings, you could find Ed on the river catfishing and camping. He enjoyed being around people. He had a huge sense of humor and could always make you laugh. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ada Brockman; and one brother, Bob Brockman.

He is survived by his wife, Jeri Brockman, Sullivan; two sons, Deckie Brockman and wife Sandy, St. Louis, and Jason Brockman and wife Jane, St. Clair; one daughter, Shellie Holman, St. Louis; one brother, Dick Brockman, Colorado state; one sister, Sherry Spradling and husband Jerry, Bland; six grandchildren, Tiphani, Josh, Courtney, Taylor, Alicia and Aaron; many great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Banderman officiating.

Interment will be at Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union, at a later date.
