Doris Miles Clay, 73, of Lynchburg, died Friday, December 27, 2013. Born April 1, 1940 in Halifax; she was a daughter of the late Willie Hunter Miles and Arie Waller Miles.

Doris was a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Edward Clay. Surviving are her children; James Clay and wife, Sandy, of Rustburg, Donna Cox and husband, Mike, of Rustburg, and Michael Clay and wife, Kelly, of Lynchburg, grandchildren; Jake and Carson Clay, Krystal, Quinton, and Brandon Cox, Tyler and McKenzie Clay, a brother; Eugene Miles of Halifax, and a sister; Rachel Hollie, of Lynchburg.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

A Graveside service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Monday, December 30 2013, in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg, with Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating.
