SIMS Jewel Janet Page Sims, 91, passed away March 15, 2010, at Cypress Village Rehabilitation Center, Jacksonville, FL. Born on July 28, 1918, in Falmouth, FL, she lived most of her life in Jacksonville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Thompson Sims, who died in 1973. She was a former Postal Services employee from 1948-1960. Before a recent decline in health, she spent her time with her daughters and grandchildren. Her twin daughters, Cornelia Sims Rappoport and Camilla Sims- Stambaugh, daughter Luanne Isaacs, stepdaughter Elizabeth Stocks, and her granddaughters Margaret Sims Isaacs, Claire Rappoport Straughn and Hayley Ashworth Isaacs, grandson Thomas Franklin Stocks VI, and great grandsons- Thomas, Jes and Jax, were the love, pride and joy of her life. Jewel is survived by her most loving sons-in-law Henry M. Isaacs, Joel M. Rappoport, and Charles L. Stambaugh. She is also survived by her many nephews and nieces. A private service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church, Atlantic Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Arbor Day Foundation or a charity of choice.
