Emily, a daughter of Charles Tuck and Mary Ann Payne, was born in Nelson Township, Halton County, Canada West. On November 22, 1882 in Tuck's Methodist Chapel in Nelson Township, she was married to William Corner, a farmer of Zimmerman, Ontario and a son of Thomas Corner and Martha Potts. Their two very young daughters, Mary Ann and Martha Elizabeth, were carried away by measles and diphtheria in 1887 and left them childless. By 1901 they had moved from Zimmerman to a farm on lot 1 concession 3 Flamborough East Township, Wentworth County. Emily died there of Bright's disease.
