Fred (Papa Johnson) was my paternal grandfather. He was a magnificent potter, beginning at Niloak Pottery in Benton, AR, and worked 'part time' at Ouachita Pottery in Ouachita, AR; Muncie Pottery, IN; then moved to CA and worked exclusively at J.A. Bauer Pottery in Los Angeles. He was a soft 'gentle giant', good natured, great humor and loved to tell stories. He passed early in my life, but is sorely missed. Love you Papa....Shug
