Musician. Born Dennes Dale Boon in San Pedro, California, he was a singer, songwriter and a guitarist. In January 1980, he with bass player Mike Watt and drummer George Hurley, formed the new wave rock band "The Minutemen". Together with Boon's very distinctive guitar style, the group's recording included "Double Nickels on a Dime", "This Ain't No Picnic", "Corona", "The Price of Paradise" and "Courage". The band had continued success until Boon was killed in a van accident in the Arizona desert near the Californian border on highway route I-10.
