Virginia Fay Earlewine, 86, of Oblong, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 8:15 p.m. at the Ridgeview Care Center of Oblong, IL.

Born on September 29, 1927 in Annapolis, IL., she was the daughter of John Russell Tracy and Fay (Bennett) Tracy. On December 19, 1944 she married William Vance Owen and he preceded her in death in February, 1947; on January 3, 1948 she married Donald L. "Steve" Earlewine and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2009.

Virginia was employed at the Ettelbrick Shoe Factory in Robinson and Casey, Il.: Heath Candy Company, retiring from Hershey on the Heath Bar line in 2000; and member of the First Christian Church of Oblong, IL. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband Steve; crocheting, quilting, and flower and vegetable gardening.

Survivors include: 2 sons and daughters-in-laws, Charley and Carol Earlewine, Mattoon, IL. and Dave and Debbie Earlewine, Fishers, IN.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and David Goodwin, Oblong, IL.; ten grandchildren: Jana and Steve Hanagan, Albany, N.Y.; Kevin and Tina Goodwin, Frankfort, Il.; Brad and Kristina Goodwin, Avon, IN.; Damon and Catherine Earlewine, Indianapolis, IN.; Daron and Julie Earlewine, Fishers, IN.; Stacey and Joe Burgess, Indianapolis, IN.; Matt and Brandy Jenkins, Palestine, IL.; Marcus Jenkins, Palestine, IL; Jay Dee Rice, Stoy, IL; and Kim and Clayton Basham, Charleston, IL.; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Reba Stephens, Leah and Earl Baker, all of Oblong, IL; 2 brothers, Bob Tracy and Frances Cummins, both of Robinson, IL.; and various nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by both husbands; infant brother, Wayne; sisters-in-laws and brother-in-law, Donna and Marion Miller and Joan Tracy; 2 brothers-in-laws, George Cummins and Major Stephens.
