Mrs. JoAnne Cook ascended to be with her savior Jesus Christ in the early morning of Tuesday, December 16, 2014. She was born on June 22, 1943 in Ranburne, Alabama to the late John W. Robinson and Emma Wysner Robinson. JoAnne was employed with Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company for many years and later retired after years of service with Bowdon High School. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Melvina Robinson, Catherine Chastain, James Robinson, Howard Robinson, H.L. Robinson, and Cleburne Robinson. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Curtis Cook of Bowdon, her children, Tony (Cindy) Cook, Alan Cook, and Wanda (Bill) Meigs; grandchildren, Brittany Cook, Mickey Cook, Dylan Barber, and Nick (Michelle) Bain; her siblings, Nellie (Doug) Benefield, Rita (David) Cofield, Hollis Robinson, and Floyd (Maylene) Robinson; and other family members include Carolyn (Fred) Hall, Mildred (Ray) Campbell, Jamie (Estelle) Cook, H.F. (Gin) Cook. A Celebration of Life memorial will be conducted Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Tommy Wright and Rev. Tony Morris officiating. Music will be rendered by David Shaddix. Interment will follow in Bowdon City Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 10:30 AM until the hour of service. Flowers are welcome but contributions made in memory of Mrs. Cook can be sent to Agape Hospice at 605 Dixie Street, Carrollton, GA 30117 or Ephesus Baptist Church at 24164 GA Hwy 100, Roopville, GA 30170. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
