Died 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 1988, at The Care Center. She was 87, a native of Tylertown, Miss., and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., after 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by Dr. Mack Stewart and the Rev. Milford Walters. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters, Dorothy Pearce and Dollye Faye Smith, both of Baton Rouge; two sons, Ansel A. and Johnny D. Marbury, both of Baton Rouge;11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Virgil V. Marbury; a daughter, Mary Catherine Marbury; and two sons, Wildon and Prentiss C. Marbury. Pallbearers will be deacons of Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church. She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church.
