Ashley W. Davenport, born in Lowville February 1, 1856, son of the late Addison and Ann Ward Davenport, died Saturday morning at his home on Park avenue. Mr. Davenport spent his entire life in Lowville, his early life as a farmer, and In later years he engaged in the wholesale and retail produce business, largely in buying and selling potatoes. He retired from active life a few years ago. During all his business career he enjoyed the high respect and confidence of the community. Mr Davenport was twice married, his first wife being Anna daughter of Solon Gordon, Lowville; married Jan 16, 1876, and died 1880 For his second wife he married, February 8, 1887, Sarah E., daughter of William Pollard who survives along with two nieces. Interment in the Lowville Rural cemetery
