Norman served as a Private First Class, U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He resided in Chittenden County, Vermont prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 7, 1942 in Rutland, Vermont. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Driver and also as Single, without dependents.

Norman died in the "Line Of Duty" while training on P-38F #42-12588 during the war.
