Barker OES Dies
BARKER, Sept. 8.—Mrs. Mary Mather Bennett, 70, widow of Harry Bennett, died at the family home, in Pallister avenue, yesterday after an illness of several months. Mrs. Bennett is survived by one sister, Mrs. Louis Bateman, of Barker, and one brother, Jay Mather, of Middleport.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the McKee funeral home here. Burial will be in Hartland Central cemetery.
Born in the Town of Hartland, Mrs. Bennett had lived her entire life in this vicinity. She was a member of the Barker Methodist church and a faithful worker in the church so long as health permitted. She was the first matron of Townsend Chapter, OES, and has been active in the work of the chapter holding the office of chaplain for many years.
