Delbert B. Ligon, 80, Col. USAF, retired, of Hampton, Va., died Dec. 13. He was born in Owenton, the son of the late Sherman and Anna Lee Minch Ligon, formerly of Owenton. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 30 years including service in World War II and Korea. He was a member of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church in Hampton, Va., where he was a treasurer. He was also treasurer of the Clark Cemetery Association. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bessie H. Ligon; daughter, Carol Ligon of Columbia, S.C.; son, Bruce Scott (Dorothy) Ligon of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren Troy Zwirblia of Pennsylvania, Tammy Peacock, Amanda Langhus and David Langhus, all of Columbia, S.C.; great-grandchildren Christine Peacock and Landon Peacock.

Funeral services were conducted Dec. 17 at Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church in Hampton, Va. by the Rev. Robert W. Sharp. Burial with military honors was in Clark Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to the Clark Cemetery Association, 126 Pine Creek Dr., Hampton 23669.
