She was named Hester Ruth after her Grandma Young but she was called Ruth by her family.
Ruth was united in marriage to James M. Bell in 1942. To this union two children were born, Billie M. Summers and Jerry J. Bell. She worked at Angelica for several years and made many friends there.
She is survived by her children, Billie and Jerry and his wife Carol; her grandsons, Brian and Jill Bell, Mike and Miechele Summers and Doug and Heather Summers; great-grandsons who brought her much happiness, Logan and Landon Bell and Andrew, Lawfton and Treyton Summers; her sisters, Eunice, Ruby, Bonnie and Shirley and a brother, Larry.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James; son-in-law, Jerry Summers; brothers, Roy, Fred Allen, Dewayne, LaVern and her sister Grace.
She was a member of the Summersville First Baptist Church and attended as long as her health permitted.
Visitation will be held at Bradford Funeral Home, Saturday, September 07, 2019, 10:30 AM, followed by funeral service at 11:30 AM with interment in Summersville City Cemetery, HWY 17, Summersville, Missouri 65571
