Isabel B. Haymond "Izzie" NEPHI - Emma Isabel Bodell Haymond, age 88, passed from this earth into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Oct. 29, 2005 in Taylorsville, Utah, following a brief illness. She was born February 17, 1917, in Salt Lake City, Utah at the home of her Aunt Lizzie to Joseph Samuel and Emma Linda Hisky Bodell. She was the oldest of two children. She married George Dilworth Haymond Jr. (Bud) on October 21, 1939 in Herriman, Utah. They had recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on October 9, 1965. Isabel was an active member of the L.D.S. Church. She was a Primary teacher and a Relief Society Visiting teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Singing Mothers, which sang at Women's Conference in the Tabernacle. She was an active member in establishing the Nephi City Rose Garden and helped care for it for many years. She was also active in civic activities, especially in the school health and immunization programs. She played a part in getting the high school a skeleton so the students could study the bones of the body. She was a member of the J.C. Janes and also a member of the Beta Literary Club. Her school years were spent in the Nephi City schools. She also worked along side her husband Bud in the Nephi Drug Company. Isabel loved and was most happy when surrounded by her family. She was a compassionate and loving person. She was truly a Daughter of God. She is survived by her husband, Bud and her daughter, Paula (Newell) Green; grandchildren, Laura (Jim) Beagley, Mitch (Jennifer) Green, Mark (Kelly) Green, Bruce Jr. (Melissa) Thompson, Judi (Milo) Beckstrom, Chad (Camille) Thompson; 11 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Bruce (Linda) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Ora H. Lunt; daughter, Georgia Delene Thompson; brother, Joe Bodell. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Nephi 2nd Ward, 222 South 100 East. The family will receive family and friends from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Interment will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
