Carolyn W. Miles, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in West Point, Utah.

She was born July 31, 1933 to Ernest William and Rosalie Kratzer Wolf in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was the youngest of six children raised on the Triangle Ranch in Goshen, Utah. She moved to Salt Lake City when she was eighteen. Met William (Bill) Miles and later married him on September 20, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada; later divorced.

Carolyn worked for Boyles Brothers Drilling Company and Christensen Diamond Inc. for over thirty years as a computer operator. She worked hard all of her life but the greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Ed (Norma) Miles of Bountiful and Debbie Newbold of South Jordan; seven grandchildren, Amber (Nate) Elkins, Robert, Jason, Jessica, Megan Newbold, Tiffany, and Aaron Miles; and one great-grandson, Justin; sister, Rosalie Oates of Medford, Oregon; brother, Ernest "Buck" (Bethea) Wolf of Goshen, Utah; brother-in-law, Ronald Miles of Menlo Park, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Casper, Ernest "Bill," and Carl Wolf; son-in-law, Danny Newbold; and ex-husband, Bill Miles.

The family would like to say a special thanks to all the staff at Family Tree Assisted Living in West Point, Utah who cared for Carolyn with such professionalism and great kindness during her stay there.

Thanks Mom for all you did for us. We love you and will miss you.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the South Jordan City Cemetery, 10650 South 1055 West, South Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East), Midvale, Utah, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services.
