Matilda, 88, of Grand Ledge, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed peacefully into eternal life with our Lord December 26, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late George and Mary (Newman) Legal.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She loved nature and enjoyed gardening and crafts. Her family was the center of her life and was everything to her.
She is survived by daughter, Kay Kollman (Dan Barker); sons, Ronald (Cindy), David (Debra), Timothy (Darcy), son-in-law Edward Lumbert Jr.; grandchildren, Edward Lumbert III, Jennifer (Aaron) Clark, Erik Kollman, Stacy Kollman; great grandchildren, Dylan, Kelly, Edward IV, Timothy, Jonah, Grace; brother, James (Bonnie) Legal; sister, Jean (Robert) Tomlinson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Stanley; daughter, Sandra Lumbert; sisters, Lena Adams and Rose Holland.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. James Eisel on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church Grand Ledge. A Vigil was held.
